01About

About Aloke

I'm a full stack developer moving deeper into artificial intelligence — building systems that are useful, understandable and dependable.

I hold a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) and an MSc in Artificial Intelligence from Dublin Business School.

My background is in software development: I've built web applications end to end, from data models and APIs to the interfaces people actually touch. Today I focus on machine learning, retrieval-augmented generation and automation — and on the engineering that makes them hold up outside a notebook.

04Process

How I build

Good AI products are mostly good engineering. This is the path I follow from an idea to something running in production — and the question I ask at each stage.
  1. 01 / 07

    Idea

“What problem, for whom — and how will we know it worked?”

Start from the user and the problem, not the technology. Define what success looks like before writing any code.

    • Problem statement
    • Success criteria
    • Scope
  2. 02 / 07

    Architecture

“What are the moving parts, and where can they fail?”

Sketch components, data flow and boundaries. Choose the simplest design that meets the requirements and leaves room to change.

    • System diagram
    • Interfaces
    • Trade-offs
  3. 03 / 07

    Data

“Where does the data come from, and can it be trusted?”

Understand sources, quality and privacy. Clean and version the data, and set aside evaluation sets before any modelling starts.

    • Schema
    • Cleaning steps
    • Evaluation set
  4. 04 / 07

    AI / Logic

“Does a model beat a simple baseline?”

Begin with rules or a simple baseline, then add ML or LLM components only where they measurably improve the outcome.

    • Baseline
    • Model / prompts
    • Metrics
  5. 05 / 07

    API

“How do other parts of the system talk to it?”

Wrap the logic in a small, typed, validated API with clear errors — so the interface, tests and other services can rely on it.

    • Endpoints
    • Validation
    • Error handling
  6. 06 / 07

    Interface

“Is it fast, accessible and honest about its state?”

Design the experience around real use: loading, empty and error states, keyboard access, and feedback people can understand.

    • UI components
    • States
    • Accessibility
  7. 07 / 07

    Deployment

“Can it run reliably somewhere other than my laptop?”

Containerise, automate builds and configuration, keep secrets out of code, and watch how it behaves once people use it.

    • Container
    • CI / config
    • Monitoring

05Experience

Where I've worked

Internships where I've built real products — from mobile apps to machine learning systems.
  1. Work

    Machine Learning Intern

    Corizo (IIT Bombay Mood Indigo)

    Jul 2026 — Sep 2026 · Remote

Remote machine learning internship focused on applying the end-to-end ML workflow to guided project work.

    • Prepared and explored datasets, then trained and evaluated supervised learning models in Python.
  2. Work

    Full-Stack Developer Intern

    Rizz Technologies

    Dec 2024 — Jun 2025 · India

Owned the backend, recommendation model and database of an AI-powered tour-planning platform end to end, in a small team without senior engineers.

    • Built booking flows, an AI chatbot and role-based access for admins, tour providers and customers on a Python, Flask and SQL stack.
    • Replaced static listings with a machine learning recommendation engine that suggests trips from each user's history.
    • Resolved integration issues so the chatbot, translation layer and database shared one consistent user record.
    • Worked in a build, test and review loop with nightly builds, adapting to changing requirements and turning early-user feedback into fixes.
  3. Work

    Flutter Developer Intern

    SoftLoom IT Solutions

    Feb 2024 — Aug 2024 · India

Built a working Android app prototype in Flutter and Dart independently, from project setup to a finished, device-tested app.

    • Developed the login flow, navigation drawer and bottom navigation bar using Material Design widgets.
    • Learned Flutter's stateless and stateful widget model by building, testing on device and refining real layouts in Android Studio.
    • Reworked layouts and navigation after on-device testing, keeping notes that became the app's working documentation.
